Wie einige von euch sicherlich schon auf Instagram gesehen haben, war ich mit einigen Freunden und meiner Schwester Marielle über meinen Geburtstag in Palermo, Sizilien. Neben den gängigen Sehenswürdigkeiten – die ihr euch auf jeden Fall anschauen solltet! – haben wir hier für euch noch ein paar Orte zusammen gesucht, die uns persönlich besonders gut gefallen haben.
This year I’ve spend my Birthday in Palermo, Sicily, with friends of mine and my sister Marielle. Some of you might have already seen some pictures of our trip on Instagram. Besides the usual sightseeing spots – that are definitely worth a visit! – there are some other nice spots, that are worth your while.
Fabbrica 102
Die Fabbrica 102 ist ein Bistrot, dass sich in einer versteckten Seitengasse der Via Roma befindet. Empfohlen wurde es uns, als wir nach unserer Ankunft auf der Suche nach etwas zu essen, auf der Straße eine Gruppe junger Leute ansprachen. Wir wurden definitiv nicht enttäuscht! Das Essen ist lecker, der Service schnell und freundlich, und der Wein gut. Besonders gefallen hat mir die entspannte, typisch italienische Atmosphäre! Häufig gibt es Abends live Musik. Probieren solltet ihr auch unbedingt das in Italien typische ‚Aperitivo‘ in der Fabbrica: Für gerade mal ein mal 7 Euro bekommt ihr Vorspeise, Pasta, Nachspeise, inklusive Wein oder einem anderen Getränk eurer Wahl!
The Fabricca 102 is a small Restaurant, which you can find in a hidden side alley of the Via Roma. A group of young people suggested this place to us, when we were looking for a bite to eat after our arrival. They were definitely right! The food was tasty, the service quick and friend and the Wine was great! I especially liked the typically Italien Atmosphere! Often there is some live music. If you happy to check this place out you should try the typical italien Aperitif in the Fabbrica: For just 7 euros you’ll get a pre-course, Pasta, Dessert and Wine or a different Drink of your choice!

Antica Gelateria Ilardo
Die Antica Gelateria Illardo gilt als die älteste Gelateria in Palermo. Sie sieht zwar recht unscheinbar aus, ihr Eis ist es aber ganz und garnicht! Unbedingt probieren solltet ihr die lokale Specialität: Gelato con Brioche, Eis im Brötchen. Klingt komisch, ist aber super lecker und für gerade mal 2,50€ werdet ihr pappsatt! Kleiner Tip: Eis zum mitnehmen bestellen (ist günstiger) und sich in den Park Foro Italico direkt ans Meer setzen.
The Antica Gelateria Illardo is believed to be the oldest Gelateria in Palermo. The Gelateria itself doesn’t look like much, but don’t judge a book by its cover! The ice-cream is spectacular. One thing you should definitely try is Gelato con Brioche, ice-cream in a bread-roll. I know it sounds weird, but it tastes sooo good. And for just 2,50€ you’ll be stuffed! Little hint: Order the ice-cream for take away (its cheaper), stroll over to the Parc Foro Italico and sit down on a bench at the seaside.

Parc Foro Italico / the Seaside
Nach einem längeren Spaziergang ist dies hier ein guter Ort für eine Pause! Direkt am Meer findet man eine Promenade mit Bänken und Liegen, mit gutem Blick auf den Hafen und seine Schiffe. Einfach schön.
The parc Foro Italico is just the right spot for a rest after a long stroll through the city. Directly at the Seaside you’ll find a boardwalk with benches and a good view on the harbor and its Ships. Trust me, its beautiful.
Die kleinen Gässchen / the little alleys
Zugegeben, dies ist nicht wirklich ein Spot. Trotzdem wäre ein Liste über Palermos schönste Ort unvollkommen ohne die kleinen Gässchen und Straßen. Wir haben uns die Zeit genommen, einfach ohne Plan loszulaufen und sind dabei über die ein oder andere schöne Kirche und den ein oder anderen Platz gestolpert. Palermo ist einfach eine malerische Stadt mit wunderschöner Architektur an fast jeder Ecke!
Okay I admit, this isn’t really a spot. Nevertheless, I felt like this list would be incomplete without these little alleys. We really took our time, exploring these, wandering around with out a route, and by doing that we came across the one or another beautiful square and church. Palermo is just a picturesque city with beautifully architecture which you can find at nearly every corner!
Parc Piazza Marina
Ein kleiner aber feiner Park, der in der Nähe des Hafens liegt.
A small but very lovely parc you’ll find in walking distance from the harbor.
